چکیده

A secure communication network with quantum key distribution in a metropolitan area is reported. Six different QKD systems are integrated into a mesh-type network. GHz-clocked QKD links enable us to demonstrate the world-first secure TV conferencing over a distance of 45km. The network includes a commercial QKD product for long-term stable operation, and application interface to secure mobile phones. Detection of an eavesdropper, rerouting into a secure path, and key relay via trusted nodes are demonstrated in this network.

Field and long-term demonstration of a wide area quantum key distribution network

A wide area quantum key distribution (QKD) network deployed on communication infrastructures provided by China Mobile Ltd. is demonstrated. Three cities and two metropolitan area QKD networks were linked up to form the Hefei-Chaohu-Wuhu wide area QKD network with over 150 kilometers coverage area, in which Hefei metropolitan area QKD network was a typical full-mesh core network to offer all-to-...

Free-space quantum network with trusted relay

Nowadays, information security plays an increasingly important role in global communication. Quantum cryptography [1, 2], particularly quantum key distribution (QKD), offers means to expand a secure key between two distant parties, whose security is stemmed from the fundamental laws of quantum mechanics [3–5]. In practice, QKD experiments have been demonstrated over longdistance optical links t...

Architecture and protocols of the future European quantum key distribution network

A point-to-point quantum key distribution (QKD) system takes advantage of the laws of quantum physics to establish secret keys between two communicating parties. Compared to the classical methods, such as public-key infrastructures, QKD offers unconditional security, which makes it attractive for very high security applications. However, this unprecedent level of security is mitigated by the in...

Demonstration of an Active Quantum Key Distribution Network

We previously demonstrated a high speed, point to point, quantum key distribution (QKD) system with polarization coding over a fiber link, in which the resulting cryptographic keys were used for one-time pad encryption of real time video signals. In this work, we extend the technology to a three-node active QKD network one Alice and two Bobs. A QKD network allows multiple users to generate and ...
